To produce the visual representation of this project, a process of interpretation of the dramatic script in conjunction with the aesthetic intention was undertaken for the general production of the Opera. The visual proposal seeks to create a space that evokes the feeling of being in front of a “Caravaggian” scene to create an atmosphere where the poetic, dreamlike and magical perspective of musical staging and dramatic conviction of the characters speak to us from fiction and narrated space constructed through the word. The compositional elements that were proposed were a series of drawings and paintings made with traditional techniques, using materials such as oil, charcoal, ink, and tempera pigments, all seeking through the stroke, textures and chromatic range to resolve the conceptual, symbolic and spatial relationships of the opera.
